Cait (pronounced like ‘cat’) Gordon is originally from Verdun, Québec, and has been living in the suburbs of Ottawa since 1998. She worked for over two decades as a technical writer, then channelled her love for words into creative writing. She is the foudner and editor-in-chief of the Spoonie Authors Network and is author of Life in the ’Cosm and The Stealth Lovers.
Her short stories have appeared in Alice Unbound Beyond Wonderland (Ed. Colleen Anderson, Exile Editions), We Shall Be Monsters (Ed. Derek Newman-Stille, Renaissance), and Space Opera Libretti (Eds. McNett and Rossman). Teaming up with sensitivity editor Talia C. Johnson, Cait co-edited the 2020 Prix Aurora Award nominated Nothing Without Us anthology, a collection of short stories that features protagonists who identify as disabled, Deaf, neurodiverse, Spoonie, and/or who manage mental illness.
For her day job, Cait is a freelance editor. Some of the books she’s worked on include Confessions of a Mad Mooer: Postnatal Depression Sucks (Robin Elizabeth), Camp Follower: One Army Brat’s Story (Michele Sabad), Skylark (S.M. Carrière), and Moonshadow’s Guardian (Dianna Gunn).
